General Product Returns - New Zealand
Costumes may only be returned, if they are unworn and in new condition with original packaging within sixty (60) days of placing your order. The return shipping fee of $7 will be deducted from the value of your returned item(s) when we process your credit.
If an order is returned to sender as the address is undeliverable or the customer has refused delivery, a $15.00 fee will be assessed to the merchandise total of the returned items. The original shipping costs will not be refunded.
You may also choose your own shipping method to send us your Product Returns. However, we strongly suggest that you choose a shipping method that includes the ability to track your order. We will not be held responsible for crediting your account if you cannot verify receipt of the Product Return.
All costs associated with shipping Product Returns are at the expense of the customer and are non-refundable. Once your package has been received and inspected, a credit will be issued to you for the price of the item(s) being returned. If your order was placed with a check or money order, you will receive a check.
The following accessories may only be returned if in unopened and in factory sealed packages: (including, but not limited to) make-up, hats, wigs, beards, moustaches, eyebrows, eyelashes or any other artificial hair item, teeth, undergarments including stockings, noses, CDs and video tapes. These products are NOT returnable if the package or box/bag is not factory sealed.
Returning Shoes: All shoes that are returned must be unmarked (without scuffs), unused and in new condition.
Special Order Items (including personalised party supplies) and all Mascot Costumes are not returnable.
If your costume needs to be exchanged for a different size or a different style, please follow the steps outlined in the above "Returns Policy". On receiving your costume, we will review it and check it meets our "Returns Requirements" and then issue you a refund. Please note that the original shipping costs will not be refunded.
To obtain a costume style/size that you desire, please raise a new order on CostumeWorld.co.nz. Please note that you will be required to pay shipping fees on the new order.
To qualify for a return and/or a refund you must ensure you meet the following requirements: -
- You are requesting the refund within 60 days of your order
- If returning a costume or other clothing garment, you ensure it has not been worn (due to hygiene requirements we are not able to provide a refund on worn costumes/clothing items)
- The costume/product is not damaged
- The costume/product is placed in its original packaging which is also not damaged
Please ensure you meet the above requirements before returning the costume/product back to us. If the costume/product does not meet these requirements we will not be able to issue a refund and additional shipping costs will be incurred at your expense to send the original costume/product back to you.
If the costume or accessory is damaged or faulty (such as missing parts or torn fabric), please follow the instructions outlined in "Returns Policy" above so we can action a refund. As per our standard returns policy, we can action refunds or exchanges on damaged goods within 60 days of your order being placed. Please inform us of the damaged goods by emailing us through our contact page.
If you require a replacement for the faulty item, we will be happy to send this to you (if item is in stock) otherwise we will issue a refund.
